What's Up: Syuhada Najuwa

Malaysia's Tori Kelly... That was my first impression once I stumbled upon the song "Oh No!" by accident on YouTube. Personally for me, Syuhada Najuwa has enough package to go further in the industry. She is a talented singer with an amazing vocal and a beautiful face. To top it all off, she is a really bubbly person. Her talent is still underappreciated for now, but believe me, Syuhada will bring a new wave to Malaysia's music industry. Let's get to know her even more in this interview...!

Zara Kayangan (ZK): First of all, I want to congratulate you for the release of the song "Oh No". Honestly speaking, it's really catchy and I hope that this song deserves the right recognition.

Syuhada Najuwa (SN): Awhh thank you...

ZK: How was the song "Oh No" created?

SN: The song was created when I sat together with the rapper Azwan Juperi (the rapper) last year. We were like chatting around and talking about music. All of sudden, I told him "AJ, how to write a song? I'm not really good in creating words to express a story. I want to make an independent woman song." So he asked me whether do I have a melody? And I said yes. So, we share our ideas and ta-daaaa "Oh No" was created...!

ZK: Wow... Sweet! Ok, next question... Since you already graduated, will you be making music while continuing your studies?
SN: I'm working actually right now, and continuing studies to masters is not in my short list right now because I need to settle down my contract with my scholarship company. Of course I will be making music to deliver a good message to women exactly.

ZK: Oh, ok... Anyway, do you write any other songs besides "Oh No"? Do you have any plans to release the songs?
SN: Yeahhhh, I do have few of the songs actually... but releasing it, hmmm I will think about that hehehe... And actually right now my friend and I are working on a duet song, but both of us are too busy with our work so it will take some time to make it complete. So InsyaAllah, adalah tu nanti... Hehe.

ZK: I can't wait to hear the duet song...! Ok, moving on to a little bit fun question. Is there any singers that you want to collaborate with?
SN: Of course I do...! The most impossible one must be Tori Kelly and Little Mix. Hahaha... Other than that, it will be a great pleasure if I get a chance to collaborate with my favourite singers since I was a kind. They are Elyana and Ezad Lazim. Oh please let this dream come true.

ZK: Wow... They're my favourites as well! Any latest updates on your career and any words to your fans out there?
